Johannah Marie’s Studio

Welcome to Johannah Marie’s Studio…

As a child I doodled, as a teen I embroidered clothes, as a young adult I painted, and then I went to college, where it all changed. I am a creative, as Steve Jobs would say. The Crazy One’s Poem defines my mentality, personality and the undesiredable need to focus on any one creative event.

“Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine.
They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world,
are the ones who do…”

All my life I have struggled with the way things where, authority and finding my place among many.  Now I am fifty, I have decided to do my own thing and lets the chips fall. I have a studio and a wood shop, between creating fine art in my studio; mostly oil paintings and prints and building frames and projects in the shop I stay busy. When things get full I load up and go to market, so to speak. A full time vendor and a couple large flea markets in PA and OH give me all the help I need. I market my name and artistic services out to the public and sit back and enjoy life. I have simplified things over the years and now I just paint, design and play on my computer.

Hope you enjoy the blog site. I found it the best of all worlds, presenting a nice online portfolio and thought I’d tried my hand at blogging. I am a terrible writer, but learning is a science I hope I never master. Thanks for visiting Johannah Marie’s Online Studio.
